Monroe County School District is looking for a Director of our Information Technology Department. This exciting opportunity will afford the selected applicant the opportunity to work alongside a group of our District’s finest leaders at the Southernmost Public School District in the United States! The ideal candidate for the IT Director position will possess a combination of strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of technologies and a passion for enhancing our organization’s purpose through technology innovation.
Salary Range: DD-1 $84,800 – DD-62 $115,300

Experience Requirements:
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in information technology management.
- Experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related field such as Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or a related discipline.
Additional Considerations
- Proven leadership and management experience, including the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop a team of IT professionals.
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational technology needs and best practices.
- Experience with network infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and data security.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, budget, and implement technology projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant IT software and technologies, including operating systems, network management tools, and educational software.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.
- Understanding of current and emerging technologies in the education sector.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service to staff, students, and families.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in educational technology, data privacy, and security compliance is essential.
- A comparable amount of training, education or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications unless it states no substitutes.
